Shining with pride, boasting your perfect family
Casting all darkness of doubt behind you

The gala life you live filled with frills and gaiety
Fast paced to leave the past behind, and start anew

You're the one who's love is there for you
Fulfilling from morn till dark your every need
Dutifully as expected a good love should

You're the one who's smiling sweetly
As with polite excuses, you watch him leave
Just one quick errand and he'll be back

You're the one who's walking happily beside him
When he steals backward glances that you don't see
Someone passing in the darkness, pauses briefly

You're the one who's dreams are peaceful
Sighs escaping, embraced in sleeping
With one who's dreams are tormented

You're the one who's man is in your arms
Your passion blinded and you can't see
His longing gaze past you seeing what he wants to see
